I picked up this book at the World book fair in New Delhi, India in January 2013. I wandered into the shop setup by National Book Trust of India and found a treasure of books on freedom fighters.
Before reading this book I always pictured Bhagat Singh as a Punjabi jatt madly in love with his country and fanatic about India’s independence. This book changed my inaccurate perception about this young man who being a freedom fighter was also a great thinker. I think that Bhagat Singh above all was an intellectual giant. His writings convey his messages with eloquence and aplomb. It was and perhaps is India’s misfortune that he was killed at such a young age.
